I believe that hair is a study in geometry and physics. I love to cut mostly, but color is very exciting when applied in a natural fashion and used as a tool to brighten the image you want to achieve. I enjoy looking at someone’s hair and recognizing what it is going to do on its own. You should be able to roll of out of bed and look fantastic! I’m meticulous and thorough and can guarantee that my techniques will allow a cut to grow out better than ever. My methods revolve around the organic nature of hair and the way it flows. Baby-fine or uuber-thick, short and feminine or long flowing layers – as well as clean, neat and professional looks are my specialty.

After graduating in 2011 from The Temple: A Paul Mitchell Partner School in Frederick, MD, I moved to Austin, TX and began a career with ULTA Salon as a Redken Stylist. In 2013 I went independent in order to utilize the product lines and tools that I truly believe in, to better the quality of my services for my guests.
I found a home in Orbit Salon, where I use Kevin Murphy, Wella, Paul Mitchell, Pravana, and Ouidad products. In 2015 I moved to Hamburg Germany and worked as a Master Stylist for Cut For Friends, the top Redken Salon in Germany. I focused mainly on Balayage technique and precision Men’s Cutting under the tutelage of Platform Artist Michi Jung.
In 2016 I was offered a position on the Education Team at The Temple (where I went to school) and continue to work at Orbit Salon every 12 weeks. I currently am accepting appointments for August, November, February, May.
I love art, music, fashion, fitness, nutrition, and the outdoors. I try to spend a lot of time with my family, and creating new/maintaining old relationships.

I am a musician and a once upon a time design student who found her way to the glory of hair in childhood, through the enjoyment of styling an almost human-sized barbie head. I made it an official hobby when I became licensed in 1998. I apprenticed behind most consistent master of his craft, Javier Herrera, learning precision cutting and a multitude of technical and free-flowing creative color techniques. I watched and applied, watched and applied… learning how to adhere to the rules so I could later discover exactly how to break them, properly.
I love nothing more than learning the next big thing, and being a stylist on the very first wave implementing new and innovative techniques. Snow white blondes, shadows and lights, every and any translation of red from softest strawberry to the deepest, and brightest outline of red on a head of chocolate perfection,…. rich multi-tonal brunettes, sun-kissed, honey-haired goddess layers… long, short, romantic and rock n roll… Blunt, shattered, flowing, easy and definitive are all my specialty.
I love to help people evolve seamlessly with the times, and comfortably within their lifestyles. I love mens’ cuts and working *with* the hair rather than against it to create styles my clients can live in effortlessly without fuss. Unless of course, fussing makes my clients happy…. then I thoroughly educate them about the right hair care and styling products to manipulate their locks perfectly into their personalized desired vision…

My number one priority while you are in my chair is making sure you are happy. I want you to be comfortable, relaxed, excited, and confident in my ability to create your vision. Of course, I am happy to help with ideas and be a part of the creative process, but at the end of the day it is your hair and my goal is to make sure you love your locks. Let’s have some fun and make you feel beautiful, book your appointment with me!
Color: My all-time favorite coloring technique would have to be Balayage. It is a way I can use the hair as my canvas and get creative with the placement of the color. Hair-painting is limitless and there are no rules! I also absolutely love vivid funky colors and traditional highlights. This is definitely something I could go on and on about. I LOVE COLOR!
Bridal/Makeup: Something I have always held near and dear to my heart. Before I became a hairstylist, I always dreamt of creating extravagant updos and seamless, natural looking makeup for brides on their most important day. I am fortunate enough to be living my dream. I have quite a large number of weddings under my belt. Let me make you feel special, stunning and ease the stress on your big day!
Dreadlocks: I have been doing maintenance on dreadlocks for quite some time. My husband has had dreadlocks for about a decade and I get to play with them and experiment. I also install dreadlocks and make the process as pain free and calm as possible. Have questions? Book a completely free consultation.
Haircutting/Styling: I love long flowing layers, face framing, short edgy pixies, precisely cut angled bobs, baby bangs,…you name it I’ve done it. Styling is so much fun! I love teaching my clients how to recreate their new haircut at home. I also love giving my clients fun tips, tricks and ideas on how to style their hair differently for a new fresh look.
Being a hairstylist, accomplishing goals, listening to music, swimming, the beach, the lake, anything outdoorsy. Cleaning, painting, playing piano, guitar, cooking. Spending time with my husband and two cats.
This list is pretty sporadic, my taste in music is ever changing…from Otis Redding to Florence and the Machine, Tame Impala, The Beach Boys, Random Rab, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Credence Clearwater Revival, Nahko Bear and Medicine for the People. I’m a sucker for oldies, hippie music, 90’s pop and anything that makes my body move.
The Secret, Saturday Night live, Cops, Bridesmaids, Can’t Hardly Wait, Mean Girls, The Voice, 80’s movies and Chick flicks

I lovelovelove short fun, funky cuts , men cuts and fades, unique color blocking, natural sun kissed highlights, voluminous blow outs, long beautiful layers and working with super thick hair. I’m also well versed in ethnic hair care and maintenance, from relaxers to maintainable styles to damage management.I love being able to work with many different hair textures, I get a thrill out of challenging myself and learning new things from my Orbit family.
Hair (Of course!), I’m a fierce roller derby girl with the Cherry Bombs, live music, local DJ’s, food. In my down time I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and dog, Rusko, checking out new restaurants and local businesses, and watching plays and comedy skits. I love the architecture of the buildings and homes, and the graffiti art here in Austin, so I enjoy taking long walks and checking some of those things out. I was born and raised in a small town close to Austin so I really enjoy meeting new people.
I literally listen to just about EVERYTHING. Aesop Rock, Blackalicous, 12th Planet, The Roots, Lady Gaga, Immortal Technique, Gym Class Heroes, As Blood Runs Black, Lil Wayne, Hyper Crush, Freeze Pop, Kimya Dawson, Bob Marley, Gov’t Mule, Imogen Heap/Frou Frou, The Postal Service, Circa Survive, and the list goes on and on….

* thick and/or curly hair : long or short.
* i can work wonders with fine or thinning hair.
* killer mens cuts
* it’s also fun to play with the kid’s hair!
* the big one: i love color! color is in everything we see. i can’t describe the feeling i get knowing that can open the door to a whole new world by taking the time to listen to my clients then introducing them to a custom coloring service that swings hand in hand with a personal haircut.
i have an extra sharp eye for the perfect shades of blondes and known to turn up the heat with reds! the fun doesnt have to stop there; i get a thrill out of hair extensions for an extreme makeover right before your eyes going from short to long or just adding thickness to your cut. no matter what the service you desire, i will be there to provide professional advise on styling options while also making sure you’re confident maintaining your look outside the salon.
if we’re on not still on the topic of hair and i’m not in the salon there is a great chance you find me out at the lake. i love being outside around the water and enjoying the texas weather. i’m constantly looking for new trails and places to explore with my dog junior. family is a big part of my everyday and i enjoy spending as much free time with my teen age sisters as possible. there is never any down time with them and quite a social life! pretty good at keeping up with all the latest movies. dont forget to kiss the cook!
i can be super cheesy when it comes to music because i love almost all of it! from the way back oldies to the jams blasting the charts today and everything in the middle. i can never come up with an answer when someone asks me who is my all time fave artist or song. it’s just to hard to choose one. music and dance is great outlet for me to be able to express my mood throughout the day and into the night.
always looking for a thrill with horror films the freakier the better. comedies and action movies will keep me awake to see the end for sure. the sappy tear jerkers tend to be a snooze fest, except for steel magnolias, hope floats, and selena. i can stay up for those girls all night. i have a huge soft spot for nancy botwin in the weeds series. i can watch all the seasons over and over.
magazines are books too, right! fashion, art, local and world wide current events, celeb gossip, glance at the political stories, reading biographies.
