The Apprentice / New Talent Stylist

Specializations:
Ethnic hair care and maintenance, from relaxers to maintainable styles to damage management. I believe in keeping hair healthy while having a variety of styles to play with; But I don't limit myself there. I lovelovelove short fun, funky cuts , men cuts and fades,  unique color blocking, natural sun kissed highlights, voluminous blow outs, long beautiful layers and working with super thick hair.  I love being able to work with many different hair textures, I get a thrill out of challenging myself and learning new things from my new found Orbit family.

Interests: 
Hair (Of course!), live music, local DJ's, food. In my down time I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and dog, Rusko, checking out new restaurants and local businesses, and watching plays and comedy skits.  I love the architecture of the buildings and homes, and the graffiti art here in Austin, so I enjoy taking long walks and checking some of those things out. I was born and raised in a small town close to Austin so I really enjoy meeting new people.

Music:
I literally listen to just about EVERYTHING. Aesop Rock, Blackalicous, 12th Planet, The Roots, Lady Gaga, Immortal Technique, Gym Class Heroes, As Blood Runs Black, Lil Wayne, Hyper Crush, Freeze Pop, Kimya Dawson, Bob Marley, Gov't Mule, Imogen Heap/Frou Frou, The Postal Service, Circa Survive, and the list goes on and on….

Movies:
I'm a musical geek; Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hairspray, Grease, Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Cats! The Musical. I also love Pulp Fiction, Crash, Super Bad, Grandma's Boy, Smoking Aces, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, 28 Days/Weeks Later, Elephant, Hard Candy. 

Books:
Face, A Million Pieces, A Child Called It, and many magazines. It's hard for me to find a book that I'm really interested in to read it front to back.
